Samsung Building up Mobile Phone Production in India

Samsung announced on December 9 that it will invest US$15 million in a mobile phone production plant in Haryana Province, India, marking the first time the company has moved handset production to the Subcontinent. Initial production capacity will be one million units per year, which will be increased to 20 million units by 2010. This news follows similar announcements by Nokia, Motorola, and LG in recent months.
